We Singaporeans LOVE food – Sometimes too much for our own good

While there is nothing wrong with the occasional over indulgence, it should be noted that

according to the National Nutrition Survey in 1998, the Health Promotion Board found that Singaporeans consumed an average of 2,062 calories a day. The numbers are expected to be north of 2,624 calories by 2020.

This means that 59% of Singaporeans would be exceeding their daily recommended calorie intake.

To help you make better food choices, we’ve put together a top 10 list of our Singapore favourite dishes that you might be tempted to eat at a hawker centre. (List not in any order)
