Part B
service policy.
01general terms
1.1Standard Installation
Standard installation of an AOX water dispenser is included only where expressly stated in the applicable quotation, invoice, sales agreement or promotional offer.
Where installation is not included, the prevailing installation charge shall apply.
1.2Scope of Installation
Standard installation generally covers the placement and connection of the dispenser to a suitable existing water supply point, using the standard installation materials and arrangements approved by AOX.
The actual scope of installation may vary according to the dispenser model, installation location and site conditions.
1.3Additional Accessories and Materials
Any accessories, tubing, wiring, fittings, connectors or other materials beyond the agreed installation scope shall be chargeable unless expressly included in the customer’s purchase agreement.
1.4Site Suitability
Customers are responsible for ensuring that the intended installation location is accessible, suitable and compliant with applicable building or property requirements.
AOX may decline or defer installation where the site conditions present safety, technical or practical concerns that cannot reasonably be resolved.
02additional plumbing or electrical works
2.1Works Outside Standard Installation
Any additional plumbing, electrical, cabinetry, renovation or structural works required to facilitate installation shall be arranged and paid for by the customer unless expressly agreed otherwise.
AOX does not undertake such additional works as part of its standard installation service.
2.2Third-Party Contractors
Where AOX recommends an external contractor, the customer shall engage and make the necessary arrangements directly with that contractor.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise:
- The contractor operates independently of AOX.
- The customer is responsible for agreeing on the contractor’s scope of work, charges and schedule.
- AOX is not a party to the separate agreement between the customer and contractor.
- The contractor remains responsible for the quality and performance of the services it provides.
To the extent permitted by law, AOX shall not be responsible for loss or damage arising from the independent acts or omissions of such contractors, except where liability is legally attributable to AOX.
2.3Property Owner’s Consent
Where the customer is not the owner of the installation premises, the customer must obtain all necessary approvals and consent from the property owner, landlord, management corporation or other relevant parties before installation or relocation.
The customer shall be responsible for reasonable losses, costs or claims arising from the customer’s failure to obtain the required approvals, to the extent legally permissible.
AOX shall not be responsible for reinstatement or restoration required by a property owner following customer-approved installation works unless otherwise agreed in writing or required by law.
03removal and relocation
3.1Relocation Requests
AOX is not automatically obliged to remove, relocate or reinstall a dispenser at another location.
Relocation services are subject to AOX’s assessment of technical suitability, accessibility, resource availability and prevailing service arrangements.
3.2Relocation Charges
Where AOX agrees to perform relocation or reinstallation, the customer shall be responsible for the applicable charges, including labour, transportation, materials, fittings and other necessary works.
3.3Conditions at the New Location
The customer is responsible for ensuring that the new installation location is suitable and that all necessary permissions and utility connections are available.
Additional costs arising from unsuitable conditions, additional tubing, modifications or unforeseen installation requirements shall be borne by the customer unless otherwise agreed.
3.4Reinstatement
AOX shall not be responsible for restoring the original installation premises, including reinstatement of drilled openings, cabinetry, countertops, walls or decorative finishes, except where otherwise expressly agreed or required by law.
04service availability and discretion
4.1Service Assessment
AOX reserves the right to assess the feasibility and suitability of requested services, taking into consideration:
- Safety and technical compatibility.
- The dispenser’s age, condition and service history.
- Availability of replacement parts.
- Accessibility and suitability of the installation location.
- Availability of qualified service personnel.
- Other relevant operational considerations.
4.2Service Limitations
AOX may decline non-contractual or discretionary service requests where the work cannot reasonably or safely be carried out.
This does not affect any existing contractual obligations or statutory rights.
4.3Unauthorised Work
AOX may require inspection or corrective work before proceeding with servicing where a dispenser has been modified, relocated, dismantled or repaired by an unauthorised party.
Any additional work required as a result may be chargeable.
05general service conditions
5.1Service Charges
All chargeable services are subject to AOX’s prevailing rates, applicable taxes and any additional charges disclosed or agreed in connection with the requested work.
5.2Service Completion
Customers or their authorised representatives may be requested to acknowledge the completion of a technician visit and the work performed.
Such acknowledgement records the service carried out and does not, by itself, waive statutory rights or valid claims relating to defective workmanship.
5.3Additional Work
Any repairs, replacement parts or additional works outside the original agreed service scope may be subject to a separate quotation or customer approval.
5.4Customer Cooperation
Customers shall provide reasonable assistance, accurate information and safe access to facilitate the requested service.
AOX may reschedule or defer service where the required access, approvals or site conditions are unavailable.
06governing terms
This Service Policy shall be read together with the applicable AOX Warranty Terms & Conditions, quotation, invoice, customer agreement and any relevant subscription or service agreement.
Where an applicable agreement expressly provides different service entitlements, those specific provisions shall govern to the extent legally permissible.
Nothing in this Service Policy excludes statutory rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
All matters shall be governed by the laws of Singapore.
